Pvt.Andre L. Bibeau was a World War II Veteran who served in the Army Infantry and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.

In 1943 he was assigned to the 141st Infantry Regiment out of Ft. Meade, MD and was deployed to the Italian front as a private. He was wounded twice in Italy and subsequently awarded the Purple Heart.

Upon leaving the Army, Andre Bibeau attended the Bulova School of Watchmaking in New York. After graduating from the Bulova School, Andre opened his own successful watch repair business until he retired at age 75. Andre Bibeau was born in Waterbury, CT and lived there all his life until he passed away on September, 2016.

Bulova gave Andre Bibeau the gift of becoming a watchmaker and he was able to support his family and live a long and blessed life.

His daughter has donated all of Andre’s watchmaker equipment and his bench to VWI along with many pictures of his life at the Joseph Bulova School of Watchmaking and pictures of him in uniform. We are thankful for his service and grateful for being able to share his wonderful legacy.
